Hi! I set up this site to use as a holding tank for my thoughts and feelings while I travel and live abroad for a year. As of right now I hope to post a new message every week. Comments will be a nice way to stay in touch with those of you who either may not feel like writing a full email, or are not getting rapid responses from me.
Writing a public diary is self aggrandizing! However, I know that I am very fortunate to be able to go on this trip and if anyone is willing to read my thoughts, then the benefit of these travels may be shared rather than kept solitary. Also, this site will hold onto my posts as a record of my trip so I can revisit mindsets that may have changed and places of which my memory has faded. Most valuably though, I hope that my writing on this site will be a good way for me to stay in touch with people and engender discussion with others about what I am seeing.
